The EISA season opens tomorrow (Jan. 20) with the alpine races of the Bates Carnival contested at Sunday River (Newry, Maine) and the Nordic events at Black Mountain (Rumford, Maine). The first run of the women's giant slalom kicks off at 9 a.m., and the women's 5 km freestyle race begins at 10 a.m. Men's competitions immediately to follow at the respective venues.
